Daniel Santiago was born in the capital Brasília, whose musical life and sound are colored by its modernist and futuristic architecture. He is the most forward-thinking artist and producer in the Brazilian lineup at the festival. He approaches pop, jazz, fusion and technically experimental music. There is an open sound that is sometimes recognizable from Milton Nascimento's 80s songs. Santiago's latest album is called Song for tomorrow. In Uppsala he plays with Uppsala son Martin Sjöstedt on bass & Robert Mehmet on drums.
