Pedro Martins Band
The Brazilian guitarist Pedro Martins is considered by many to be one of the most interesting musicians of our time. Even at a very young age, Pedro Martin gained international attention by taking home first prize in the Montreaux Guitar Competition. It was also the start of a collaboration between him and the legendary Kurt Rosenwinkel, which among other things resulted in several tours and joint albums.
His geographical base is Brasilia but tours all over the world with both Kurt Rosenwinkel and others, including Michael Pipoquinha, Jacob Collier, Knower, Genevieve Artadi, Scott Kinsey, Thundercat, Al Jarreau, Toninho Horta and Hamilton de Holanda. Pedro Martins is Composer in Residence 2021 at Norrbotten Big Band.
Well-established pianist Adam Forkelid also takes place on stage, and since his debut with the album Cirkel 2005
he has participated in groups such as Lekverk, Soundscape Orchestra, PACE, Georg Riedel Secret Song, Svante Söderqvist Trio and has been closely associated with Norrbotten Big Band. In 2018, he released the acclaimed album Reminiscence with Georg Riedel and Jon Fält.
Another participant on stage is the London-based bassist Robin Mullarkey who has been praised for his collaborations with artists such as Jacob Collier, Jordan Rakei, Zero 7, Eska, Roisin Murphy, Natalie Williams, Richard Spaven, Laura Mvula, John Newman and in recent years also Leon Vynehall, Anton Eger, Steve Wilson and Quincy Jones.
Jeremy Stacey is one of England's most established drummers. His expertise is as broad as undisputed. And the list of great artists he has collaborated with is huge and impressive: Sheryl Crow, the Finn Brothers, Nick Harper, Noel Gallagher, The Waterboys, Thomas Anders, Echo & the Bunnymen, Eurythmics, Joe Cocker, Andrea Bocelli, Patricia Kaas, Susanna Hoffs, Mike Scott, Robbie Williams, Aztec Camera and Charlotte Gainsbourg. And that's just a fraction of all.
