Long-awaited return visit - Emil Ernebro
It is with great pleasure that we welcome the virtuoso Swedish fingering guitarist Emil Ernebro back to the Uppsala International Guitar Festival!
During a concert with Emil Ernebro, you get to go on a fantastic music journey. There will be games in a variety of styles, from jazz, blues, and country to beautiful guitar arrangements and ballads. Emil has invited Erik Igelström, a fantastic Swedish mandolinist.
As early as 2008, he took home the victory in the competition "Young abilities" and was rewarded the same year with the Hagström scholarship awarded by the King. Academy of Music. The following year, he won first prize in the "Up and coming" category at the Guitar Peoples Prize, which was awarded at Fasching in Stockholm. With his exceptional ability to make the music swing, he is a constantly in demand artist and has participated in the Polar Prize Gala and also Allsång at Skansen together with harmonica virtuoso Filip Jers.
His unique talent was already noticed during his studies at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, where he was awarded the title "Outstanding Player". He has also participated in a number of festivals and collaborated with artists such as Tomas Ledin, Sofia Karlsson, Sven Bertil Taube and with several prominent guitarists, such as Jojje Wadenius, Janne Schaffer, Tommy Emmanuel and Pete Huttlinger. Emil Ernebro often performs with his wife, the singer Zandra Ernebro.
Interest in Emil Ernebro's guitar playing is also growing rapidly. He has a large fan base on social media, including over 100,000 followers on Instagram. For the past three years, he has performed around 100 gigs every year. He has also released three solo albums and the duo album Handmade with harmonica player Filip Jers, produced by Georg "Jojje" Wadenius.
