In February, he released his new album OPUS, which immediately placed himself in the top of Billboard's jazz list in the United States. Now he makes another long-awaited visit with his band to celebrate the fifteen-year jubilee festival with a concert and an exclusive clinic.

Al Di Meola's outstanding career that lasts forty years has become known as one of jazz and fusion music's most prominent virtuoses. Al Di Meola has constantly explored new musical areas. His love of Brazilian music shines through several albums and his encounter and friendship with the great tango champion Astor Piazzolla inspired him into a new development phase in the guitar and plates.
Piazzollas tango nuevo has also been the source of inspiration for several of the songs on OPUS, but as always with Di Meola's own personal colored and virtuoso imagination center. Al de Meola also says that OPUS is the beginning of a new era in his life and "for the first time in life, I have been happy when I composed."
Along with John McLaughlin and Paco De Lucia, Al di Meola formed The Guitar Trio, which in the early 1980s took the guitar game to unprecedented levels so far. He was one of the members of the super group Return to Forever with Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke and Lenny White. He has also played with artists such as Frank Zappa, Jimmy Page, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Phil Collins, Santana, Steve Winwood, Herbie Hancock and many more.
