Pattie Boyd - captivating photographs from the secret story of pop history
The photographer and former model Pattie Boyd are part of the pop story. She has inspired Beatles and Eric Clapton to several of their top hits. Her photo exhibition at The Beatles Story last fall made unforgettable success in Liverpool and is now to see in connection with the Uppsala International Guitar Festival. The exhibition can be seen from September 12th until October 18th at Uppsala Concert & Congress.
– I'm so glad to be part of the Uppsala Guitar Festival. Thank you for inviting me! I look forward to the event very much, says Pattie Boyd.
For many, Pattie Pattie Boyd is famous for her marriage, first with George Harrison and then with Eric Clapton. But she is also a photographer. And life, together with some of our most central musicians, made her documentation of everyday life unusually captivating. She took pictures from environments and situations in the midst of world stars and iconic musicians in the 60s and 70s, with no-one else in control. Her photos have been exhibited in Dublin, Sydney, Toronto, Moscow, in several cities in the United States and in Japan, for example. Pattie Boyd is also a member of the affluent Royal Photographic Society.
The New York Times published her best-selling autobiography Wonderful Tonight in 2007, telling her about the life of pop music's frontline, including the origin and source of inspiration for three real monster hits, Beatles Something, George Harrison, the album Abbey Road and Eric Claptons Layla and Wonderful Tonight.
