Dimitri Illarionov is one of the most outstanding soloist profiles on the international classical guitar scene. Audiences all over the world have been captivated by his expressive games and boundless virtuosity. For the first time, we are now meeting him at Uppsala International Guitar Festival and Sweden.
Dimitri Illarionov has won several of the world's most prestigious guitar competitions, including the Guitar Foundation of America Competition in the United States and the Francisco Tárrega Guitar Competition in Spain. During his outstanding career he has celebrated concerts in Europe, Asia, North and South America. Among the scenes he regularly attends include the Tonhalle in Zurich, the Bolshevik Theater and the Great Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Moscow, the Osaka Symphony Hall, the Seoul Art Center and the Palais des Beaux Arts in Brussels.
Illarionov studied Andreas von Wangenheim at the music school in Karlsruhe in Germany and for the legendary guitarist and pedagogue Alexander Frauchi at the Gnessin Institute in Moscow. Today he is considered by many as one of the world's premier classical guitarists, as confirmed by the international music press.
